iPhone Released

It's from Apple. It's cool. It's got a few neat ideas few of which are truly new. It's joined at the hip with Apple exactly like Microsoft software yet this linkage is muted because, well, with Apple this is a feature. Sure. For business users it holds nothing except promise in that you know version 2.0 will build on the hype (and, by this time, sales) to leveredge Apple into a nice position to take a run at the dying Music Industry.

Safari Browser for Windows (Beta)!

This appears to be the platform by which Apple might require you to have if you wish to use the next version of the iPhone. Except the browser compares poorly to others as it appears to not load faster. It has security issues ( don't they all ) and lacks the ability to patch. No extensions / add-ons like Firefox. No Widgets like Opera. Looks like hell. Looks like hell? An Apple product? 'Fraid so. So, let's wait on outcome of this strategy.

OpenOffice.org Virus Spreads

A virus written in numerous scripting languages that can affect Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X computers is slowly spreading via infected OpenOffice.org documents. Best practice is, of course, to never accept documents as attachments in email if you were not expecting them. Inform the sender that it is always best to announce attachments before sending. Having a good Anti-Virus and firewall is also an excellent idea just in case nasties end up on your system. Better safe than sorry!
